In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. - Genesis 1:1-2
The kids have been exploring what it might be like to be scientists studying the earth's origins by looking at fossils. As Christians, we are fortunate to have God's word as a clear guide to how the earth began, and we can also reconcile this with scientific discoveries. The young scientists tried their hands at digging for chocolate "fossils" in cookies, and putting together bones to surmise what some extinct creatures may have looked liked based on their skeletons. They also noticed some of the similarities that fossils have to things that exist today.
